Psychology Manager | 1099 Contractor
Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Psychology Manager to develop, manage, and oversee the delivery of psychological services. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing leadership in mental health program delivery. The Psychology Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality psychological services and effective operations of the psychology department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for the Psychology Department, ensuring the delivery of appropriate psychological services.
Supervise staff, assign and coordinate work activities, and monitor performance.
Provide effective leadership in multidisciplinary treatment planning and service delivery.
Coordinate psychological services with other disciplines, integrating new policies and procedures into existing programs.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, rules, regulations, and program procedures.
Develop and implement policies and procedures as necessary.
Consult with psychiatrists, physicians, and other professionals regarding diagnostic, evaluation, and therapeutic training programs.
Ensure efficient and effective unit operations while adhering to administrative, fiscal, and security guidelines.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including staff training on relevant mental health topics.
Deliver individual, group, and psycho-educational treatment services as required.
Collaborate with the Medical Director and Supervisory Physicians regarding mental health diagnoses, when applicable.
Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Build rapport with a wide range of personalities and enhance interpersonal relationships within the team.
Assess, interview, and manage patients with competence and empathy.
Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing cultural competency within the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of managing mental health services effectively. This role requires a deep understanding of psychology, treatment methods, and clinical management.
This is a full time position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Psychology or a licensed master's degree in Psychology.
Licensed by the Pennsylvania Board of Licensing; if licensed by another state, must secure Pennsylvania license within one year.
At least 2 years of experience as a Licensed Psychologist.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or administrative role.
Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral treatment methods, mental health theories, and concepts related to treatment and psychology testing.
